Motörhead’s 1982 release “Iron Fist” has gotten a deluxe 40th anniversary reissue that the band says will correct the record on its importance. The release features a remaster of the album, previously unreleased demos, and a full concert.

Bassist Jakob Dreyer has released a new album. “Songs, Hymns, & Ballads Volume 1” marks his debut as a leader and showcases his talents as a composer. Dreyer recruited saxophonist Jason Rigby, pianist Jon Cowherd, and drummer Jimmy Macbride.

Starr has released his third EP, simply called “EP3.” The tracks are anchored by session aces, including Billy Mohler and Nathan East.

John Patitucci had a fruitful tour of Italy in July of 2021, and now the rest of the world gets to hear the magic that happened along the way. His new album, “Live In Italy,” features him Chris Potter and Brian Blade.

Ozzy Osbourne has followed up 2020’s “Ordinary Man” with another solo album, entitled “Patient Number 9.” On the low end of the frequency range are three monstrous bassists: Robert Trujillo, Duff McKagan, and Chris Chaney.

Vocalist and trumpeter Jennifer Hartswick has released her third solo album, “Something In The Water,” which she co-wrote with Nick Cassarino. Hartswick also reconnected with her friend and collaborator Christian McBride for the project.

Revocation has returned with “Netherheaven,” an album that’s been four years in the making and digs deeper into the death metal aspects of their music. Brett Bamberger rips through the riffs with blistering bass lines.

Earlier this year, technical metal band Fallujah announced a change to their lineup with vocalist Kyle Schaefer and bassist Evan Brewer joining the fold. Now the band’s latest roster has been documented with the album, “Empyrean.”

The fusion pioneering band Yellowjackets has released “Parallel Motion,” marking the 27th album in their 41 years as a group. The album includes bassist Dane Alderson, who joined the band in 2015.

At long last, King’s X has returned with “Three Sides of One,” which marks the power trio’s first new studio album in fourteen years. dUg Pinnick’s biting tone and soulful vocals are still in perfect form.

Pat Travers has just released a new album called “The Art of Time Travel,” which is a musical throwback to his heyday of the late ’70s. Travers is joined by David Pastorius, who also contributed a beautiful instrumental song to the effort.

It’s been a wild ride for Megadeth over the last few years, and the tension has led to huge anticipation of their new album, “The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!” Now it seems the wait was worth it.
