Michael Schenker Group has returned with a new full-length album entitled “Universal”. The MSG is already anchored by the able hands of Barend Courbois, but “Universal” also features bassists Bob Daisley and Barry Sparks.

The world lost a visionary and pioneer of the bass world when Rick Turner passed away on April 17, 2022. Steve Lawson had a special relationship with Turner, and he’s just released a tribute album, simply called “Rick”.

Shane Cooper & MABUTA have returned with their second full-length album, entitled “Finish the Sun”. The South African jazz group continues to expand their diverse sound by digging into genres from across the continent.

The Immediate Family is back with another EP following last year’s self-titled full-length record. “Live From Telefunken Soundstage” was captured at the microphone company’s headquarters in Connecticut in November 2021.

Timothy B. Schmit has returned with another solo album. “Day By Day” was written and recorded during breaks in the Eagles’ touring schedule with Jackson Browne, Lindsey Buckingham, John Fogerty, Jim Keltner, and others.

Or Bareket has returned with his third album as a bandleader. “Sahar” was written and recorded during the downtime of the pandemic and is described as a “decidedly new and fresh artistic trajectory” for the bassist.

It’s no secret that Cory Wong has been on a roll with his band, the Wongnotes, over the past couple of years. His latest album, “Power Station”, includes bassists Sonny Thompson and Victor Wooten.

Helms Alee has returned with their sixth studio album, “Keep This Be The Way”, which marks an expansion of their signature sound. The trio recorded the album themselves and took the opportunity to experiment with production possibilities.

Bassist and composer James Singleton has returned with a new solo album called “Malabar”, which features his sextet performing original music. Singleton’s songbook includes his evolving bass work, which he augments with effects.
