New from Line 6: Helix Stadium Series Packs Pro-Grade Control into Touchscreen Floor Units

Line 6’s Helix series of amp and effects processors has expanded with a new line: the Helix Stadium. The new models include the Helix Stadium XL and Helix Stadium Floor processors, the Expand D10 digital I/O expansion unit, the EX2 expression, and the Stadium Backpack. Central to the new designs is the company’s Agoura modeling, which they say are a “new type of product.”
“The flagship Helix Stadium XL Floor and the streamlined Helix Stadium Floor feature high-resolution 8″ touch screens, high-contrast OLED scribble strips (XL only), the ability to morph between ultra-authentic and idealized amp sounds with a single control, 8-channel audio interfaces, Matrix cue mixers, and Showcase™ automation and playback engines that enable them to serve as the centerpiece of entire stage setups,” the company writes.
Along with the upgraded scribble strips, the Stadium XL has an expression pedal with a toe switch for adjusting parameters on the fly. It supports up to four effects loops, four external expression pedals, four external amp control outs, and four drum trigger inputs. The Stadium Floor supports up to two of all those features.
There’s a lot to go over, so check out the Line 6 intro video on the series.
The Line 6 Stadium series will be available this fall and winter. They will have prices of $1799.99 for Helix Stadium Floor, $2199.99 for Helix Stadium XL Floor, $219.99 for Expand D10, $149.99 for EX2, and $249.99 for the Helix Stadium Backpack.
