Billy Corgan Selects New Smashing Pumpkins Bassist

Nicole FiorentinoAfter holding an open audition for a bassist, Billy Corgan has announced that the new keeper of the low end in the Smashing Pumpkins will be Nicole Fiorentino.

Nicole, who’s resume includes work with Spinnerette, Veruca Salt, and Radio Vago, announced on her Myspace page that she was the group’s newest member. According to her post, she will be “keeping herself very busy these days in the studio with Billy and the rest of the pumpkins crew.”

Fiorentino promises to be a great performer. She states, “I live for live performances. There is nothing I’ve experienced that gives me the feeling I get when I’m on stage, feeding off the crowd.”
