Bass of the Week: Rischke Guitars 332 “Brilliant”

Bass Upfront’s David Sutkin has an astounding bass collection. We’ve taken a look at two of his Stradi basses before, but he’s just shared his latest addition to the lot. The Rischke Guitars 332 “Brilliant” is the first one to land in the U.S., he tells us, adding, “It’s a killer bass and I am super stoked to own it.”
Luthier Norbert Rischke calls the 332 “Brilliant” a “bass that couldn’t be more exciting yet more simple.” The bass’s curvy body is built from swamp ash while its neck and fingerboard are Canadian maple. The combination makes for a percussive attack which is captured by a pair of custom Häussel humbuckers in walnut covers. The pickups are splittable and a 5-way switch lets you toggle between different tones.

Rischke utilized bolt-on construction for the bass with a super interesting bolt configuration. Other features include Schaller tuners, a Gotoh bridge, and a Metallic Green finish.
