Pigtronix has introduced the Resotron, which is an analog filter based on 70’s keyboard synthesizers. Effective for guitar, bass, and more, the pedal is based around the SSM2040 chip found in the Prophet 5 and Octave CAT synthesizers.

GR Bass has expanded their line of bass amps with the Dual800 and the Dual1400. The new lightweight amps, which are rated at 800 watts and 1,400 watts respectively, are based around a two-channel system.

Hartke was at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show to unveil the XL Series V2 bass cabinets, which commemorate 35 years of the business and the original aluminum-cone cabinet that was hand-built by Larry Hartke. The new version of the XL Series will include two new models and a revamped design.

EMG has introduced three new signature sets of pickups with three of the biggest metal bass stars: Slayer’s Tom Araya, Anthrax’s Frank Bello, and Megadeth’s David Ellefson. Introduced at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show, each of the sets was dialed in with the artists.

Chowny Bass has relaunched their NT basses with the NT4 and the NT5. Four and five-string basses, respectively, the instruments are built with neck-through construction and a medium scale at 32.7 inches.

Vulfpeck’s Joe Dart has a new signature bass by Ernie Ball Music Man. The Joe Dart Bass is initially limited to 50 units and will only be on sale during the month of March.

Band Industries has unveiled the Roadie Bass Tuner, which is an automatic tuner designed specifically for the bass. The company says the device has “enough torque to crank the biggest pegs in the business but is as precise as a watchmaker’s fingers.”

Fender unveiled six new effects pedals featuring original designed circuits at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show. Notable among the new stompboxes is the Downtown Express, which marks the company’s first official bass effects pedal.

TC Electronic unveiled a new bass amp at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show called the BAM200. The unit is a miniature 200-watt amp intended for “club gigs and practice rigs.” Its Class D power section keeps the weight down while its preamp gives a more natural sound.
