Ashdown Engineering has expanded their pedal offerings with the PRO FX line, which consists of five new units: The Triple Shot, the Macchiato Comp (Guy Pratt Signature), the Studio Comp, the Velvet Comp, and the Type 23.

Electro-Harmonix has unveiled the Bass Mono Synth, a new pedal that offers 11 different bass-specific synthesizer styles: Laser, X-Fade, Acid, Cosmic, Sub, Growl, Wub, Unison, Twin, Spectre, and Oblivion.

If you’re a fan of the game League of Legends, you may be familiar with Pentakill Yorick, the undead heavy metal band member that wields a bass to fight his enemies. Luthier Yvan Monfette was inspired to create Yorick’s weapon in real life, complete with a sharp looking body and skull headstock.

Jackson Guitars announced the new JS Series Spectra line of basses at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show. Each of the basses feature a new offset poplar Spectra body shape that has a large upper horn for evenly distributing weight.

Ashdown Engineering introduced an interesting new bass cabinet called the CL-310-DH. Rated at 450 watts at 8 ohms, the cabs were inspired by vintage British PA systems and feature a 3×10" configuration with dual high-frequency horns.

MXR has expanded their bass pedal lineup with the M282 Dyna Comp Bass Compressor. The new stompbox offers their Dyna Comp sound in a bass-centric format that includes a clean control for maintaining your low end. It’s also tiny.

Darkglass Electronics took to the Winter NAMM Show to unveil two new products in their line of bass amplifiers: The Alpha-Omega 900 and the Microtubes 900 v2. While the latter upgrades an existing model, the Alpha-Omega 900 is a brand new amp that pairs elements of their Alpha-Omega distortion preamplifier with a 900-watt power section.

Godlyke Distributing debuted the new TWA MiniMorph Dynamic Waveshaper at this year’s NAMM Show. The new unit is a pared down version of their DynaMorph and features an envelope-dependent drive circuit.

Wilkins Custom Guitars & Finishes unveiled their new “Marlin” bass model at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show. Available in four and five-string versions, the Marlin is a medium 32-inch scale bass in their RoadTested series.

NEXI Industries has announced the NEXI Bass Pedalboard, a powered pedalboard that has four slots for their effects. Similar to their Solution pedalboard for guitar, the NEXI Bass board offers plug and play convenience.

Luthier Scott French combined his SF2 and SF3 models to create the SF4, featuring a singlecut body with a deep cutaway for reaching the highest notes. This particular SF4, which he built for Ian Hill, is a great example of the design with gorgeous woods to accent its features.
