Vijay Iyer has just released “UnEasy”, an album that sees the pianist presenting a new trio completed by drummer Tyshawn Sorey and bassist Linda May Han Oh.

Death metal mainstays Cannibal Corpse have released “Violence Unimagined”, marking their 15th studio album since the band’s inception in 1988. It’s the first to feature Erik Rutan, who has been their producer, as a full-time guitarist.

Rock mainstays Cheap Trick has released their 20th studio album, entitled “In Another World”. The album has been a long time coming, as the group released the first single, “The Summer Looks Good On You” way back in May 2018.

Carl Mayotte had a big year in 2020, despite the hardships. He was named Radio-Canada Jazz Revelation 2020-2021 and won the Prix de la Relève LOJIQ. Now he’s keeping the momentum up with a new album, “Pop de Ville, Vol. 1”.

Tune-Yards has released “sketchy.”, which marks their fifth studio album and their first in three years. The 11-song collection was made after recovering from a burnout following a heavy touring schedule.
