Stuart Clayton is working on a major update of his book, Giants of Bass. One of the bass giants he’s featuring is Billy Sheehan, who has done a lot in his career since the first version of the book. In this video, Stuart explains the update and the story behind this new track for the book.

Berklee recently celebrated the music of trombonist Hal Crook (who graduated Berklee in 1971). Jeff Berlin shared this terrific clip on Facebook of a live performance in Buenos Aires. In this video, the trio of Berlin, guitarist Scott Henderson and drummer Billy Cobham perform Cobham’s “Stratus”. The original tune was on Cobham’s Spectrum, with Leland Sklar. Such an unbelievably great bass line on this one.
