After being cooped up for a year, bass virtuoso Brian Bromberg is ready to hit the open road. That’s clear from his new album, “A Little Driving Music”, which evokes the feeling of a free-spirited joy ride.

Icelandic composer and bassist Skúli Sverrisson has teamed up with guitar wizard Bill Frisell to release “Strata”. Previously released exclusively on vinyl, the duo album features ten hypnotic original compositions by Sverrisson.

Avishai Cohen has expanded his palette for his new album, “Two Roses”, which features the bassist and composer’s trio alongside the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. The fourteen-song collection features songs near and dear to Cohen.

Dumpstaphunk has returned with their fourth studio album, “Where Do We Go From Here”, which also marks their first full-length in seven years. The band is anchored by two bassists: Tony Hall and Nick Daniels. Together, they lay down some serious grooves.

Dan Wilson has released “Vessels of Wood and Earth”. The jazz guitarist performs five original compositions as well as covers of classics by Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Ted Daffan, with Christian McBride and Marco Panascia on bass.

It’s been five and a half years since Lemmy Kilmister’s passing, but we’re still being gifted with music from the rock god. A 2012 Motörhead has now been released as a new album called “Louder Than Noise… Live in Berlin”.
